16 Albany Democrat- Herald Thursday, November 13, 1953 Plans for Natural Gas Line Into Oregon Under Study PORTLAND (U.P.) Officials of Westcoast Transmission company -Canadian pipeline concern planning to pipe natural gas to the United States- conferred today with Charles H. Gueffroy, president of Portland Gas Coke company, about details of the project. Meeting with Gueffroy were Frank M. McMahon of Calgary, president of Westcoast and chairman of the board of Pacific Petroleums, major company which is sponsoring firm for the pipeline project, and Dr. Charles Hetherington, Westcoast vice president.

Purpose of the conference was approval from the Federal Power to discuss price, terms and market arrangements of possible contract between the Canadian firm and Portland Gas and Coke. Gueffroy said he was convinced of the feasibility of the project, but that the local company is uncommitted yet as to a contract. The whole affair depends upon WORKED WHILE THEY SLEPT BENEDICT, Neb.
