Norman shot a 1-under-par 71 Saturday in the third round of the $800,000 event over The Australian Golf Club course.

He coped well with windy conditions as only seven play-, ers had sub-par rounds. 1 Norman had four birdies and three bogeys to go four shots ahead of Sweden's Klas Eriksson, who fired a 4-over 76. Norman has a 54 hole total of 5-under 211. Tiger Woods, the 20-year-old three-time U.S. Amateur champion who won two late-season PGA Tour vents, shot his best round of the tournament.

1-under 71 despite being troubled by a head cold. Despite being 11. shots back at 222, Woods still felt he had a chance of winning. "I'm going to have to go tow, but I shoot a low one, hopefully I'll win," he said. "That's what I'm here for." Oregon ski report Hoodoo Plans to open Nov.
