Jake was born in Joliette, Pembina County, N.D., to James E. and Ellen E. (Smith) Fitzgerald. He served in the Army and was discharged in 1949. In 1956, Jake married Shirley E.

Beers in Flagstaff, Ariz. In 1969, he established and continued to operate Home Insulation Contractors Inc. in Tangent. Jake was also a member of the Federation of Independent Contractors, Home a member of the Moose Lodge for over 50 years. Jake was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He enjoyed the outdoors, his great-grandchildren and attending church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley E. Fitzgerald; children 584, 1469 Timber St. S.E., Albany. Info: 541-928-7925.

pinochle -1 i i 4 Davey was preceded in death by his best friend, Steven Ruil Holley. The service will be at 1 p.m. today at 725 Montgomery Albany. The family asks that you bring a rose or some type of flower. After the service there will be a potluck; please bring a dish to contribute.

Davey loved spending time with friends and family. He also loved to laugh and have fun. Davey "Papa" left behind three granddaughters, Lilyann, Sage "Blair" and Haylee; nieces Kristina, Carmen and Viola; and nephews Robert and Justin Hayes.

David Howard 'Davey' Hayes July 10, 1969 -Oct 23, 2011 David "Davey" Howard Hayes, 42, died Oct. 25. He was born to Marlene (Inglis) and Lawrence Hayes in Aberdeen, Wash. He had two brothers, Robert and Johnny. Davey had his first daughter, Davena (Hayes) with Brenda Anderson.

Davey later met Rhonda Bishop. Together they Davey Hayes Robert A. Park Jan. 13, 1932 -Nov. 22, 20U Robert A.

Park, 79, formerly of Lebanon, died Tuesday. He was born in Yakima, the son of Ransom and Nina Park. He attended elementary school in Monmouth, and was in the last senior class to graduate from Mon the Guantanamo Bay Grade School at the naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He married Nancy Cross on Aug. 5, 1954, and they had two children, John Edward and Anna Marie.

They were divorced in 1957. His second marriage was to Martha Lancaster on Nov. 9, 1959, and three sons were born, Russell, Willie and Doug. Martha preceded him in death in 2003. On June 18, 2005, he married Ethel Burns.

He is also survived by two sisters, Doreen Kilen and Nina Meyers. There are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His son, John Edward, and brother William Park preceded him in death. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today at Western Oregon University, Gentle House in Monmouth.

Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service is handling arrangements. and a master's degree in 1966, both from Oregon College of Education. He taught at Cloverdale, the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Minto, Alaska, and Ne-nana, Alaska. Returning to Oregon, he taught at Kinzua, a logging camp school, then Hebo, where he was a principal at the grade school.

He also taught at Crowfoot Elementary School in Lebanon, and was principal at Griggs Grade School. Later he went to work with the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DODDS) in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany, at Patch Elementary School in Stuttgart, where he was awarded the administrator of the year from 1988 to 1989. He was assistant principal at the grade school in ScRweinfurt before going to Okinawa, where he was the vice principal at Bechtel Elementary School. He was principal at Bob Park mouth High School in 1950. Bob served in the U.S.

Army from August 1951 to March 1954. He was an expert marksman and could hit a 50 cent piece at 100 yards nine out of 10 times. He served in Korea. His company was the 3rd Sq. 27th Wolfhound, 25th Infantry Division.

He was submitted to an atomic testing series in which his company was ordered to watch an atomic blast in the Nevada desert. The operation was called "Desert RockV" (Thanks Uncle -Sam). He was awarded the combat infantry badge, the Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars, the UN Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
